Systematic review of current educational methods for residents and fellows learning to perform gastric sleeve resection and gastric bypass. Of 14 articles included, 2 were RCTs. Surgical coaching was shown to improve Bariatric OSATS scores and reduction of technical errors in a single-institution study. Preoperative warm up was also shown to improve trainees’ depth perception, bimanual dexterity, and efficiency of movements.
